Highly sensitive children can be challenging to guide and keeping children motivated during the pandemic can be equally challenging. Learn techniques to support your child’s intense reactions to their environment and strategies for teaching them coping skills.

Who: Lori Longo, MA, Parent Educator at Parents Place, a program of JFCS' Center for Children and Youth.

A parenting educator for more than two decades, Lori specializes in child development, discipline, and separation issues. Lori teaches a number of classes at Parents Place, including “Feisty 3’s and 4’s,” “Spirited Child,” and “Parenting Twins.” She was a teacher and a director at parent cooperative preschools for more than 20 years. A graduate of Scripps College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology, Lori earned her master’s degree in child development from Michigan State University.
